Rereading this blog I realize that much use a word that (at Monterrey least) sounds a bit strong. Perhaps because he had heard much Facundo Cabral y Alberto Cortez in my youth or maybe I lived much with Peruvians in Germany and they in fact is not an offense.

Anyway, I use it in all conscience (knowing that usually produce a "shock") to communicate something I think is important.

According to the Royal English Academy:
